Join us at Casa de Vinos for one of the most significant spirits events staged in Australia in recent memory – The Great Australian Brandy Tasting. Emceed by spirits writer and author Luke McCarthy, this extraordinary evening will bring together two of the country’s leading brandy figures: Holly Klintworth, managing director and head distiller of Bass & Flinders Distillery, and Richard Angove, fifth generation winemaker and joint-managing director of Angove Family Winemakers and St Agnes Distillery.

This momentous tasting will not only showcase contemporary masterpieces from Bass & Flinders and St Agnes – including the St Agnes XXO 50 Year Old, Australia’s oldest aged spirit – but also open the vaults of Australia’s distilling past.

Guests will have the rare opportunity to taste multiple vintage Australian brandies from ghost distilleries personally collected over many years by Jose Dymenstein. These include treasures from Tolleys, Yalumba, Hardys and Mildara – bottles seldom seen, let alone opened.
